1. Is this really solid wood?

Yes, our furniture is made of solid milled hardwoods. You will find absolutely no press board or particle board within our pieces. Come see for yourself – this is the real stuff!

2. What woods do you build in?

Our craftsman build in red oak, quarter sawn white oak, cherry, hickory, walnut, brown maple and hard maple. All hardwoods are commercially managed and sustainably harvested from the United States and Canada.

3. What type of finish do you use? How durable is the finish?

All of our furniture is finished with a catalyzed varnish to keep each piece looking like new for years to come. This is a varnish that is the best available finish for wood furniture. Our finish has been extensively tested and has proven resistant to most household spills.

4. What stains do you offer for the finish?

We have many stains to pick from on each of the woods. Our stain selection ranges from lighter natural colors to darker tones like espresso. Please see website for some examples of our woods and stains.

Also, our stains are made using certified formulas. What this means is the stain colors are certified every year for color consistency and accuracy. While there can be variations in the wood, the stains are consistent.

5. Can you custom match a stain color?

We do have the ability to create custom stains. If you are trying to match a piece that you already have, we can usually find a match from our stain selection. But, if not, we can have stain created to match. The charge for a custom stain is $175.

6. How does the process work?

The process is simple. First, you pick your design – either from our showroom or from our catalogues. Next, you pick your wood and your stain. Lastly, we finalize your order and send it to our craftsmen who begin construction. Then, it’s just a matter of time before you receive your custom made furniture.

7. Do you have a catalogue that you can send me?

The best way to see what we have to offer is to come by the store or visit our online catalog . We have a 7,000 square foot showroom and have pulled together a collection of catalogs from our  premier craftsmen. This web site is also a very good starting point. While, we have made every effort to show a selection of the furniture that we offer, our website does not portray all of the designs available. We invite you to visit our showroom to see the quality of our furniture first hand! We are here to help you find the right design, wood and stain to build the furniture of your dreams.

8. How long does it take for my furniture to be delivered?

Our lead time for your custom built furniture is two to four months. In most cases, we can have your furniture delivered within twelve weeks to 16 weeks. We know that you are anxious to start enjoying your new furniture and we make every effort to get your furniture to you as soon as possible. However, quality does take some time. Your furniture is not built until you place your order. Each piece is built for you and built to last.

9. How much do I have to put down?

We ask for a 50% deposit for your custom made furniture.

10. Do you offer a guarantee for my furniture?

Yes, we offer a lifetime guarantee. We say this furniture is built to last and we mean it! Please see (the website page) for details.

11. Can I use my own fabric? What about hardware?

Yes, you are welcome to provide your own material for upholstery. We have hundreds of fabrics and leathers to choose from, but you can always provide your own. Same goes for hardware.

12. What if I want to add more pieces later? Are styles discontinued? Will the stain match?

When you choose to add pieces to your existing collection, we will have a record of the design, wood type and stain. You don’t have to worry about a style being discontinued. We have worked hard to foster a great working relationship with our builders and this ensures that our builders will continue to build what you want. Also, our stains are made using certified formulas. What this means is the stain colors are certified every year for color consistency and color accuracy. While there can be slight variations in the wood, the stains are consistent.

13. Can I bring in a drawing and have it built?

All of our furniture is custom made for you. However, we don’t do complete one-of-a-kind custom pieces. In most cases, we can work with you to find a design that is pretty close to what you had in mind. We are here to help you through every step of the process. Remember, because this furniture is custom, we can make changes to dimensions and some design alterations if needed.

14. Is shipping included?

Yes, our price includes shipping delivery to the surrounding 50 miles of Harrisonburg, Virginia. We can also ship anywhere in the US. Please call the store (855)-491-1050 for pricing.

15. Do you deliver?

Yes, we have a professional delivery team that takes pride in what they do! They are punctual and professional. Our team inspects each and every piece before delivery. We do not deliver anything to your home that we wouldn’t want in ours.

Our standard delivery charge is $79 for the Harrisonburg area. Arrangements may also be made for delivery to other areas. Please call the store at (855)-491-1050 for pricing.

16. Can I pick up my furniture?

We prefer to deliver your furniture to make sure that it arrives safe and sound. However, if you want to, you may pick up your furniture from our store. If you do decide to pick up, please come prepared. Your furniture doesn’t come boxed or wrapped. You will need to bring all the materials (i.e. moving blankets, tie-down straps and man-power) needed for transport. Also, we must warn you that solid wood furniture is extremely heavy and we can’t be responsible for any damage that may occur during loading or transport.

17. Do you do repair/refinish furniture?

Unfortunately, we do not repair or refinish furniture.

18. How do I take care of this furniture?

We recommend that you use a damp cloth to dust your furniture. If you wish to use a polish or cleaner, we recommend using one that does not contain silicone or wax, as this will only build up on your finish. We recommend Guardsman products and sell them at the store. Please don’t use products such as Endust or Pledge on your Amish Furniture. It isn’t good for the finish.
